Wilson Earl “Webo” Hale, Sr., 73, of Paradise, Texas passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 in Denton, Texas. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, March 7, 2016 at Wilson Prairie Cemetery in Bridgeport, Texas. Brother James Hurst will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Webo was born May 10, 1942 in San Diego, California to Ruby Frances (Craddock) and Coleman Harvey Wilson Hale. He was a truck driver who enjoyed gardening, storytelling, playing the guitar, and spoiling his grandchildren. He served his country in the Army in Korea and Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Frances Elaine Tedrow Hale; sons Daniel DeWayne Hale, Sr. of Van Buren, Arkansas, Eric Dale Bennett of Midland/Odessa, Texas, and Wilson Earl Hale, Jr. of Marietta, Oklahoma; daughters Nona Davalene Wells of Van Buren, Charolette Jean McLaughlin of Witcherville, Arkansas, and Rhonda Gayle McConnell of Paradise; brother James Wilkerson Hale of Eden, Texas; sisters Ellen Leach and Susan Elaine Stout of Marysville, California and Ruby Jean Whiteley of McMinnville, Oregon; twenty-one grandchildren; and thirty-four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son James Earl Hale; parents; and brothers Harvey Coleman Hale and Nathan Forrest Hale.
