Willie B Byers, 89, of Jacksboro, Texas passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013 in Bridgeport. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Paradise Cemetery in Paradise, Texas. Pastor Darrell Ray Hatley will officiate. Pallbearers are B. J. Rhoudes, Jim Tackett, Gregg Truitt, Sean Williams, Russell Stephens, Paul Martin. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Willie B was born September 3, 1924 in Boyd, Texas to Becky Jane (North) and James William Walker. She was a waitress and housewife, who enjoyed gardening and shopping and spent many hours shelling pecans and black-eyed peas. She was a Baptist. She is survived by her son Robert L. Tackett and wife Glinda of Jacksboro; daughters Patricia Ann Payne and husband Larry of Chico, Texas and Faye Tackett of Decatur, Texas; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband James Russell Byers; son James Richard Tackett; parents; grandson Jerry Allen Payne; and great-granddaughter Dally Dawn Tackett.
