Virginia Lee Lyon

An open visitation for Virginia Lee ‘Ginni’ Lyon, 83, of Chico, Texas will be from 9:00 am–12:00 noon Monday, June 29, 2020 at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas. Ginni passed away Friday, June 26 in Fort Worth, Texas.

She was born November 1, 1936 to parents Leo and Hilda (Burris) Humbert in Akron, Ohio.

Family was everything to Ginni. She also loved to cook. Her fried chicken, chocolate chip cookies and Christmas cutout cookies were family favorites.

Husband Derrell Lyon’s job was as a pipeliner and Ginni enjoyed trips she made with him all around the United States.

Ginni leaves behind sons Rick White and wife Leea of Rhome, Texas, Gary White and wife Teresa of Keller, Texas, Gregg White and wife Cheryl of Southlake, Texas, and Todd White and wife Vicki of Thorndale, Texas; two stepdaughters Theresa Elliott, and Terena Otis, both of Bay City, Texas; grandchildren Amy, Alexis, Gary Lee, Greg Michael, Brittany, Gregg, Chris, Justin, and Taylor; 11 great-grandchildren; and her precious Shi Tzu, Bandit.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Derrell Lyon, parents and brother James Humbert.
