Vernon Wingate

Vernon Allen Wingate, Jr. of Bridgeport passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013. He was 50 years old. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Balsora Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Glenn Connell. Burial will follow at Willow Point Cemetery in Balsora.Visitation will be held at Jones Family Funeral Home Wednesday, April 3, from 6-8 pm. He was born in Decatur, Texas May 6, 1962 to Vernon Wingate Sr. and wife Gracie (Shawn) Wingate. He served in the US Army and his hobbies included cooking and riding motorcycles. He was a member of the North Texas Honor Guard and attended the Full Armor Biker Church. Vernon is survived by his sons Will and Josh Wingate; his mother, Gracie Delay and husband Douglas; and sister Rachel Delay. He was preceded in death by his father Vernon Wingate, Sr., and his grandparents.
