Tyree "Nana" Martinez

Funeral services for Tyree Martinez, 61, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, with burial to follow at Eastside Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

 Pallbearers will include Tino Martinez, Tony Martinez, Trevor Martinez, Josh Jones, Toby Jones, and Micheal Trainer.

Tyree “Nana” (Applegate) Martinez was born on November 10, 1963, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Paula Jean Applegate, and passed away on January 14, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Tyree was a loving person known for her warm heart and generous spirit. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, helping others, spending time with her grandchildren, and traveling. These passions reflected her deep love for family and community.

Tyree’s warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

 Those left to cherish Tyree’s memory are her husband, Timoteo Martinez; sons, Tino Martinez, Tony Martinez, and Trevor Martinez; daughters, Tyana Jones and Tonja Martinez; son-in-law, Josh Jones; daughters-in-law, Amber Martinez and Kimberly Martinez; sisters, Paula Taliaferro, Sherry Trainer, and Leigh Wilkinson; grandchildren, Sara Jones, Erick Jones, Logan Jones, Wade Jones, Zoey Jones, Chloey Jones, Shelby Davis, Covin Martinez, Grace Tillery, Cutter Tillery, Roston Martinez, Raylynn Martinez, Bailee Martinez, and Paige Martinez; numerous extended family; and a host of friends.

Tyree is preceded in death by her mother, Paula Jean Applegate; grandfather, J.N. Horsley; grandmother, Anna May Applegate; nephew, Jason Trainer; and brothers-in-law, Ricky Paul Collins and Laddie Trainer .
