Tony “Toby” Allen Green was born on December 27, 1960, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Donnie and Doris (Stokes) Green, and went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 13, 2024, in Bridgeport, Texas.
Tony graduated from Bridgeport High School, Class of 1979, and resided in his hometown throughout his life. He worked for many years at Peterbilt Motors Company in Denton for the manufacturing department then, later, Imperial Fabrication in Decatur as a welder, before retiring. Tony was known for his friendly and happy nature. He loved making those around him laugh with jokes and his light-hearted spirit.
Tony enjoyed going to the casino, attending crawfish boils, and even hunting and fishing in his younger years. Above all else, Tony valued spending quality time with his family and friends.
As we reflect upon Tony's life, we are reminded of the laughter he brought, the friendships built, and the memories made. Though he may have departed from our midst, his legacy will endure as a testament to a life well-lived. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Tony is preceded in death by his father Donnie Green; grandparents Morris and Augie Stokes, and James and Hattie Green; and sister-in-law Jana Green, all of Bridgeport.
Those left to cherish Tony’s memory are his mother, Doris Green; brothers Tim Green, and Jeff Green and wife Stella; nieces Kristi Lopez and husband Ben, Kacie Cross and husband Billy, all of Bridgeport, and Sara Stansell and husband Jason of Hurst, and Emily Black and husband Josh of Alvord; eight great-nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and family.
