Tommy Joe King

A memorial service for Tommy Joe King, 62, of Boyd, Texas will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Cuba Church in Bridgeport, officiated by pastor Joey Vick. Tommy passed away March 4 at home.

Tommy was born and raised in Bridgeport by parents Johnnie and Lena (Hoppie) King, and was a graduate of BHS Class of 1973. He was a truck driver by trade. Being single, he filled his spare time with all types of projects, woodworking and otherwise. Tommy’s nature was to always be moving, working on something. His illness during his last few months made that difficult.

Tommy leaves behind his brother Billy King, sister Barbra Reed, sister-in-law Brenda King, niece Vicki King, and nephews Brian King, Danny King, Edward King, Sr., and Myrl Thomason.

He was preceded in death by his parents Johnnie and Lena King, brothers Jim and John King, nephews James King and John Reed, and niece Tonya Martin.
