Tammy Michelle Cash Leming, 47, of Jacksboro, Texas, formerly of Bridgeport, Texas, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015 in Weatherford, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 24, 2015 in the Chapel at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Reverend Terry Mitchell will officiate. Tammy was born August 11, 1968 in Bridgeport to Joyce Ruth (Stutt) and Clifton Walter Cash, Jr. She was an American sign language teacher and communication and science disorder specialist. She graduated from Bridgeport High School, received a degree in business and drama from Weatherford College, and earned a Masters in deaf education at Texas Women’s University. She attended the Jacksboro Church of Christ, sang in school and church choirs, and was a member of the American Sign Language Association, the American Sign Language Club, Wise County Singing Ladies, TSTA, Future Educators of America, Drama Club, Speech Club, and Band. Tammy received the PTA National Honor Golden Key Award, was a member of the National Dean’s List for five years, and received a Master in American Sign Language Award. She enjoyed needlepoint, drama, performing in local plays, and Casa Manana in Fort Worth. She married Lonny Leming on December 22, 2004 at Walt Disney World. She is survived by her husband; son Landyn Neel Leming; parents; and brother Kevin Jay Cash. She was preceded in death by an infant son; grandparents Margaret Vera (Mann) and Kit Jay Stutt and Dollie Lois (Hulsey) and Clifton W. Cash, Sr.; great-grandmother Sara Ruth Neel Mann; and aunt Patricia Lee Cash Cougar.
