Stanley Witt passed away peacefully on Friday, September 3, 2021 in Bridgeport at the age of 76.
Funeral is 2:00 pm Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, and burial with military honors at Eastside Cemetery in Bridgeport. Family will receive family and friends from 6-8 pm Friday, September 10 at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Cove immediately following the burial service.
Stan was born in Omaha, Texas to Jim and June (Brown) Witt on July 4, 1945. He was the youngest of four children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jimmy and sister DeEtte.
He proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beautiful and loving wife Suzanne; three children: Cliff Witt and wife Kristin, Clay Witt and wife Maggie, and Lana Hamblin and husband Brian; grandchildren Kylie, Kaela, Mason, Brady and Presley; sister Diane; niece Tammy Sharkey and husband Tim; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was one of the most loving people you could ever meet, a hero to his children and his grandchildren, and he loved having fun and making memories with his family and many friends at The Cove. He loved his wife Suzanne, his kids and grandkids beyond words.
Donations can be made in his honor to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and Diabetes Association.
