Services for Sharon Lois ‘Jo’ Murphy, 69, of Paradise will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of Boyd, officiated by Rev. Bob Turk and Rev. J.D. Allen. Burial will be in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation is from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, July 11, 2014, also at the Methodist Church. Jo passed away July 8 in Paradise. She was born June 15, 1945 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to parents Joe Larry and Lottie Lois (Thompkins) Murphy. She was a retired inspector for TXDot. She enjoyed woodworking, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Boyd. She leaves behind her partner Jane Wilson of Paradise, and adopted family Rhonda and Bill Brewer of Keller, Texas, Mike and Mary Wilson of Chandler, Arizona, Rick and Michelle Wilson of Paradise, Randy and Kathy Wilson, also of Paradise; ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Boyd building fund.
