Samantha Kaye Crowder

A Visitation for Samantha Crowder, 49, of Jacksboro, Texas, will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2025, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas.

Samantha Kaye (Hicks) Crowder was born December 7, 1975, in Dallas, Texas, to Monnie and Pamela (Freestone) Hicks, and peacefully passed away on April 12, 2025. She was a dedicated phlebotomist and also cherished her role as a housewife. Samantha had a passion for crafting, sewing, construction, and even took pride in her skills as a mechanic.

Samantha married Judd Crowder in Springtown, Texas, on February 14, 1998. They shared a loving marriage that lasted for 27 wonderful years.

Samantha will be remembered for the kindness and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Samantha is preceded in death by her father, Monnie Hicks; grandparents, Agnes and June Freestone and Marvin and Eva Hicks; father-in-law, Jerry Crowder; and best friend, Robert Jones.

Those left to cherish Samantha’s memory are her husband, Judd Crowder; son, Jedd Wade Crowder; daughter, Emily Crowder; mother, Pamela Hicks; sister, Misty Beaty and husband Michael; grandchildren, Jethro Fowler and Oliva Crowder; and a host of friends.
