Funeral services for Sally Salazar, 72, of Bridgeport, will be 3 pm Saturday, September 24, at Twin Oaks Assembly of God Church in Bridgeport, officiated by Brent Butler. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, also at the church. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery in Bridgeport. Sally passed away September 16, in Denton, Texas.
She was born November 14, 1949, in Bridgeport, Texas, to parents Mary Sue Garces and Guadalupe Salazar, Sr.
Sally was a homemaker, winning her the “Best Mother Award” from her children. She loved to cook, crochet, and travel.
She is survived by sons Gilbert Moncibaiz and wife Gracie, Felipe Moncibaiz and wife Pamela, Adam Moncibaiz and wife Kimberly, Joe and wife Yolanda, and Gilbert; daughters Julie Johnson and husband Reggie, Paula Butler and husband Brent, Minga Sales and husband Devon, and Mary Perkins and husband Dwayne; brothers JR, Tommy, and Wally Salazar; and sister Julie Torres. She has also left behind 26 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Sally is preceded in death by her mother Mary Sue Garces; father Guadalupe Salazar, Sr.; sisters Emily Vidal and Gloria Martinez; and brother Johnny Salazar.
