Ryan Alden Munnerlyn

Ryan Alden Munnerlyn, 28, passed away January 28, 2018 in Decatur. Memorial service will be Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Jones Family Funeral Home in Decatur.

Ryan was born August 14, 1989 in Lancaster to Trevor and Cindy Munnerlyn. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Decatur. Ryan was an Eagle Scout and a graduate of Decatur High School in 2007. He was studying to be an engineer. Ryan was preceded in death by grandparents, R.J. "Pete" Munnerlyn and wife Vonnie (Looper); great-grandparents, Therese (Wirth) Munnerlyn and husband Don, Maxcie A. Looper, John H. Looper; and uncle Robert W. Shepard.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Trevor and Cindy Munnerlyn of Decatur; brother, Kevin Munnerlyn and wife Alejandra of Dallas; grandmother, Janice M. Shepard of Decatur; grandfather, Robert W. Shepard and wife Carroll of Sun City, AZ; aunt, Rebecca J. Friary and husband Kevin of Taunton, MA; numerous cousins and friends.

The family requests memorials be made to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, American Cancer Society, or Boy Scouts of America Troop 121 in Decatur.
