Roland 'R.T.' White

Roland Thomas (R.T.) White died Friday, February 18, 2022 at the age of 88. A Celebration of Life will be held at Morris Memorial United Methodist Church in Chico on Saturday, March 5 at 11:00 am, and will be led by Rev. Dr. Wayne Hodge.

He was born January 12, 1934 in Cotton County, Oklahoma to Herbert Lee White and Mildred Beatrice (Rector) White. R.T. married Myrna Ruth Sprague on December 3, 1956 in DeSoto, Texas.

He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict.

He was the Chico Handyman for the last 40 years, after retiring from Austin Paving Company.

Roland is survived by son Walter L. White and wife Cindy; daughters Barbara Kay and husband Jimmy, and Teresa Kaiser; one daughter of the heart, Cynthia Bronson; and sister Patricia Singer. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. He is also survived by his faithful companion, Moxie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Myrna White, sisters Juanita Carr and Janell Johnson, and one daughter of the heart, Janice Williamson.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Chico Public Library, 106 W Jacksboro St, Chico, TX 76431.
