Robert Shettlesworth

Robert Bruce Shettlesworth,66, of Lufkin, Texas died January 4, 2012 in Lufkin. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at the Oakwood Cemetery in Jacksboro, officiated by Brother Bill Hughes. Bob was born August 8, 1945, in Jacksonville, Florida to Margie (Brown) and Joseph Shettlesworth. He married Norma Damron on July 25, 1972, in Houston, Texas. Bob served his country in the Coast Guard from 1963 - 1985. He was a retired welder who enjoyed fishing, building things, and cooking. He is survived by his wife; son Ronald E. Shettlesworth of Vidor, Texas; daughters Tammie Lynn Ferrell, Rebecca Lynn Allen, and Tawnya R. Bowman of Beaumont, Texas; mother Margie Shettlesworth of Ponte Vedra, Florida; brother Benny Shettlesworth of Ponte Vedra, Florida; sisters Peggy McFarland and Mary Sams of DeFuniak, Florida, Georgia Koonce and Margie Works of Ponte Vedra, Florida, and Virginia Fitez of Winter Haven, Florida; twenty-two grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father and one brother, Joseph Shettlesworth, Jr.
