Bob Hankins

Graveside services for Robert Gerald ‘Bob’ Hankins, 75, of Bridgeport, Texas will be 2:00 pm Monday, January 3, 2021 at West Bridgeport Cemetery, officiated by Larry Fair. Visitation will be Sunday, January 2 from 6-8 pm at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Bob passed away Thursday, December 23 in Bridgeport after a lengthy illness.

He was born September 9, 1946 in Compton, California to Roy and Lillie (Nichol) Hankins.

Bob was an equipment operator for TXI for 30 years.

He was an outdoorsman and loved to swim, camp and play with the grandkids.

Bob is survived by children Robby Hankins and wife Kelly of Big Springs, Texas, Daniel Hankins of Bridgeport, Ralla Hankins and wife Christine of Bridgeport, Carol Hankins and spouse Ben Benitez of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Josh Hankins of Bridgeport, and Eldon Hankins and fiancée Brittany Abshier of Weatherford, Texas; sister Linda Conner of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother-in-law Danny Walls; 18 grandchildren: 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy Hankins, grandson James Moody, and several siblings.
