Richard Brown

Richard J. “Rick” Brown, 79, of Bridgeport, Texas passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 in Decatur, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 2, 2013 in the Chapel at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Jim Taylor will officiate. Rick was born on March 28, 1934 in Bridgeport, Texas to Francis (Jennings) and William Brown. He served his country in the U. S. Navy. He loved to golf and was an avid sports fan. He also enjoyed gambling. He is survived by his brother Guy Brown, Jr.; daughter-in-law Sheryl Brown; grandchildren Ashley Brown Cook and husband Cody, Taylor Guy Brown, and Kelsie Lynn Brown; and great-granddaughter Kailyn Cook. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son Richard G. Brown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans groups.
