Rhonda Lowry

Memorial services for Rhonda Lowry, 63, of Chico, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Her daughter, Daryl Ann (Lowry) Cansino, will officiate.

Rhonda Faye Lowry was born September 14, 1961, in Cleburne, Texas, to Roy and Faye (Baxter) Slonaker, and went to be with our Lord Saturday, October 19, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas. Rhonda was united in marriage to Robert Lowry on September 19, 1981, in Riverside, California, and was happily married for 43 years. She was a stay-at-home Mom, before working at Chico Elementary for many years as a PE coach/aide, where students lovingly called her “Miss Monkey.” After retirement, she went on to be a caretaker for many members of her family. Rhonda had a passion for cooking, which brought joy to many, and loved to unwind by watching cartoons. The beach was her favorite getaway where she found peace and happiness. Above all else, Rhonda cherished spending time with her loved ones. 

She brought happiness, humor, love, and light to everyone she met. Rhonda truly blessed every single person she encountered and made each one feel like family. 

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 43 years, Rob Lowry of Chico; daughter, Daryl Ann Cansino and husband Mike of Lubbock; granddaughter, Aurora Cansino; grandson, Elias Cansino; brothers, Lee Slonaker and wife Michelle of Chico, Danny Baxter and wife Vicki of Garland, and Chris Baxter and wife Julie of Garland; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. 

 Rhonda is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Faye Slonaker; in-laws, Herb and Jean Lowry; and sister, Freddie Triplett. What a party they are all having right now!
