Randy Lee Kittrell, 70, of Runaway Bay, Texas, passed away on June 20, 2024. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, June 24 at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, officiated by Pastor James O. Kittrell. Burial will follow at Eternal Oaks Cemetery in Runaway Bay. Visitation will be 6-8 PM on Sunday, June 23, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home.
Randy was born June 17, 1954, in Huntington Park, CA, to Clarence Elvin Sr. and Alice Faye Smith Kittrell. He later graduated from Nogales High School in La Puente, CA before he joined the Army where Randy served his country from November 22, 1974 – August 27, 1977, and accrued the rank of SP5 (Specialist 5th Class). He also received several awards and honors throughout his employment history and was even awarded Father and Grandfather of the Year every year. Randy was a member of the Christian faith and cherished his time with family and friends. His go-to pastime was playing the solitaire card game spider.
Randy is survived by sons, Robert Kittrell, Michael Kittrell; daughters, Laura Hosea, Christina Wood; brothers, Jimmy Kittrell, Ralph Kittrell; sister Deborah Preece; grandchildren, VaShaun Hosea, Kiyana Hosea, Maegen Cook, Briana Brewer, Zach Wood, Blake Brewer, Brayden Brewer, Alyssa Kittrell, Riley Kittrell, Kaden Kittrell, Kyle Kittrell; and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Elvin Kittrell, Sr. and Alice Faye Smith Kittrell; brother, Clarence Elvin Kittrell Jr.; and nephew, Rusty Dale Kittrell.
