Paul Galen Warren, 59, of Bridgeport, Texas, passed from this life, unexpectedly, on Thursday, March 30, 2023, while vacationing with his family in Mexico. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Grace Fellowship Church in Paradise, Texas; visitation will be one hour prior to the service, also at the church.
A stranger to none and a friend to many at the time of his death, Paul was born in Dallas on December 22, 1963, and graduated from North Mesquite High School before spending much of his professional life in the heating and air-conditioning industry, and working for large, multinational corporations like Alcatel and Nokia. Later earning a degree in business, he had recently been named director of maintenance for the Southern region of Tom Thumb.
A former member of Southside Assembly of God and Springcreek Church, Paul and his family regarded Grace Fellowship Church as home prior to his passing. Paul enjoyed many things in life, including golf, softball, hunting, motorcycles, skiing and carpentry. He also had an affinity for filet mignon, a 3 am bowl of cereal, and Cherry Sours while on road trips. Above all, though, he cherished providing for his family, coaching his kids’ and grandkids’ teams or cheering them on from the stands each week, and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. That will be his legacy – a fun-loving spirit with infectious positivity, astonishing know-how and an unshakable commitment to those he loved.
Paul was the beloved husband to George Ann Herron; devoted father to sons Justin and partner Les, Taylor and wife Morgan, Warren, and Brandon Herron; and daughter Shennel and partner Derek; adored “Papa Paul” to grandchildren Cannen Warren, Brayton Chitty, and London and Kahnon Arellano; loving brother to Lindy and husband Steve Evans; faithful cousin to Dolan Rosamond; and treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Paul was greeted in Heaven by his former wife of 30 years, Cathy Warren, and parents Dewayne and Elaine Warren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in
Paul’s memory to Special Olympics Texas or Grace Fellowship UNCHARTED.
