Patsy Dolores (Wilmeth) Starr was born on September 19, 1931, in McKinney, Texas, to Austin and Beatrice (Reneau) Wilmeth, and peacefully passed away October 4, 2024, in Decatur, Texas. She will be remembered as a loving and dedicated homemaker, known for creating a warm and welcoming home for her family.

Patsy had a wide array of interests that kept her vibrant and active. She enjoyed bird watching, with a special fondness for cardinals. Her love for nature extended to gardening, where she was a proud member of the Millsap Gardening Club. She also embraced the joys of volunteering at local nursing homes, sharing her warmth and kindness with those around her.

An avid reader and a lover of stargazing, Patsy found beauty in both the written word and the night sky. Her competitive spirit shined through in her bowling, where she was a league champion in the WIBC League from 1960-1961 and accomplished the remarkable feat of bowling two perfect games.

Patsy and her husband, Hugh, were avid country western dancers, sharing many joyful moments on the dance floor. Her adventurous spirit also led her to take belly dancing classes, an experience she cherished and often bragged about. With a twinkle in her eye, she had a wonderful sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around her.

Faith was at the center of Patsy’s life; she loved to pray for her family and hold them close in her heart. Her unwavering devotion to her loved ones and her faith will be remembered by all who knew her.
