Patricia Ann Taylor

A celebration of life for Patricia Ann Taylor, 71, of Newark, Texas will be 2:00 pm, Friday, August 3, 2018 at Hilltop Assembly of God Church in Boyd, Texas, officiated by Rev. Billie Fitch and Pastor Jeff White. Burial will follow in Aurora Cemetery. Pallbearers are John Harris, Hilton Manor, Terry Whitt, Ronnie Smith, Dewayne Morris, Rickey Rhodes, Jacob Rose, and Robert Koury. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday, August 2, also at the church. She passed away Monday, July 30 in Dallas.

Pat was born November 19, 1946 in Decatur, Texas to Charles and Jeralene (Harwell) Allen. She was a homemaker and caregiver who enjoyed helping people and animals. She was often found volunteering for different organizations throughout the years, always giving and sharing of her time and home, one of which was Missionette, a discipleship program for young girls. She was a prayer warrior, and loved to spend time with her family.

She leaves behind her husband of 46 years, Rickey Gene Taylor of Newark; sons Jerry Taylor and wife Keicia, Charles Clark, and Richard Taylor; daughters Rhonda Rhodes and Kylisa Taylor; daughter in law Robin Solley; step-brother Chris Gamble and step-sister Cathy Kuzell, and father Charles Allen and wife Joy; grandchildren Latricia Rhodes, Rickey Rhodes, Julie Taylor, Katie Taylor, Kaytlin Taylor, Zachary Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Justin Clark, Josh Clark, John Harris, and Ernest Solley; and great-grandchildren Celeste Creswell, Christian Creswell, Chealsie Creswell, Jaxson Rhodes, Macie Rhodes, Jacee Rhodes, and Liam Harris.

She was preceded in death by her mother Jeralene Landers and husband Owen, and son-in-law Danny Rhodes.
