Patricia "Patsy" Barnes

Memorial services for Patricia “Patsy” Barnes, 77, of Decatur, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. The family invites those who knew her to join in celebrating a life well lived.

Patricia Ann Barnes, known affectionately as Patsy, went to the arms of Jesus on July 19, 2024, at the age of 77 in Decatur, Texas, surrounded by her family. She endured a long battle with cancer but is now free of pain. Born on December 25, 1946, in Fort Worth, the daughter of the late Dorothy and William Mitchell and sister to Sandra Mitchell, who preceded her in death.

Patsy is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Susan Barnes and Kim Strange and husband Chuck Strange; grandson JC Strange and his wife Abi along with two precious great-grandkids that she adored; a niece, nephew and a very special cousin and family in Houston. Her warmth and presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Patsy loved her friends at the Decatur Medical Lodge and loved seeing and taking care of her four-legged fur babies.
