Orville Buchanan

Graveside services for Orville Ervin ‘Buck’ Buchanan, 86, of Saginaw, Texas will be Monday, June 1, 2015 at 2:00 pm in East Bridgeport Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Darren Embree. Visitation will be Sunday, May 31 at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport from 2-4 pm. Buck died Friday, May 29, 2015 in Fort Worth. Buck was born June 25, 1928 in DeKalb, Texas to William Ervin and Lula Zula (Dennington) Buchanan. He spent 54 years in new car sales in the Fort Worth area. Buck loved music, and playing an ‘extra’ in the movies, which he did on occasion. He is survived by the love of his life Doris Scanlon; mother of his daughters Virginia Buchanan; daughters Gayla Buchanan, Myla Plenert and husband Dwight, and Rene Kelley and husband David; brothers Marvin Buchanan and wife Betty; sister Velma Lewis; grandchildren Jori Dearing, Jody Totten, Kelsee, and Dalton Plenert; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society.
