Nona Nimmo

Nona Nimmo, 96, of Bridgeport, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, May 4, 2012, in the Chapel at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Burial will follow in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Brother Gary Demmitt will officiate. Pallbearers are Greg Cunningham, J. T. Manoushagian, Rob Nimmo, Mike Kennemer, Wayne Kennemer, and Tommy Denton. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home immediately prior to the service. Nona was born January 4, 1916 in Agnes, Texas to Edna (Carlton) and James T. Niblett. She loved crocheting and was a big sports fan of the Dallas Mavericks, Texas Rangers, and Dallas Cowboys. She was a Baptist. Nona is survived by her son Don Nimmo and wife Ann; daughter Doris Denton and husband Tommy; grandchildren Dina Nimmo, Rob Nimmo and wife Angie, Mike Kennemer and wife Lori, Wayne Kennemer and wife Chanda, and Tommy Denton and wife Sue Ann; great-grandchildren Haylee and Hayden Nimmo, Brooks, Allye, Price, and Emmie Kennemer, and Mara and Haley Denton. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Nimmo; her parents; brothers Carlton and Claude Niblett; and sister Ruby Holoman.
