Monica J. Cordova, 83, of Bridgeport, Texas, previously of Albuquerque, New Mexico, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Cottondale Cemetery in Cottondale, Texas. The Very Rev. James E. Flowers, Jr. will officiate.
Monica was born December 10, 1929, in Nampa, Alberta, Canada to Rose Laura and Angus Bell. She was a very devout Roman Catholic who served as a lay Eucharistic Minister. Monica loved life. She especially loved and supported her family in all things. She liked to have fun and pull pranks on her grandsons. Her hobbies included dancing, all kinds of games, especially bingo, gardening, cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, traveling and watching pro wrestling.
Monica is survived by her daughters Denise Flowers and husband Jaime of Shreveport, Louisiana and Diane Huff and husband Charlie of Paradise, Texas; brother Duncan Bell of Nampa, Alberta, Canada; and grandsons Byron Eppler of San Francisco, California, Evan Huff and wife Courtney of Lewisville, Texas, and Ryan Huff of Paradise.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Rod and Gus; and sister Shirley, all of Alberta, Canada.
