Mike Taylor

Memorial services for Mike Taylor, 71, of Bridgeport, Texas will be held at 2 pm Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas.  Brother Andrew Suy will officiate. Mike went to his eternal resting place April 8, 2023, in Decatur, Texas.

Honorary pallbearers include Dickie Dunn, Klayton Canova, Hayden Bone, Jerry Stinnett, and Kenny Hudson.

Mike was born January 5, 1952, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Douglas and Vera Lavene (Fenner) Taylor. He married the love of his life, Debra (Perry) Taylor, June 8, 1989, in Decatur, Texas, and was happily married for 33 years. Mike loved the outdoors, devoting most of his time to hunting, fishing, camping and riding ATV’s. He also enjoyed playing the guitar whenever given the chance. The only thing he enjoyed more than the outdoors and playing guitar was spending time with his family. Mike will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother Vera Lavene (Fenner)Taylor; wife Debra Taylor; daughter Kimberly Taylor Bone and husband Kevin; brother Gerald Wayne Taylor and wife Dianne; sister Ellen Charlene Taylor; grandchildren Mycah Bone, Megan (Dylan) Glover, and Hayden Bone; and great-grandchild Hezekiah Bone; mother-in-law Lydia Perry Simpson; nephew Clif and wife Blair; children Chloe, Evie, and Beckett; and a host of family and friends.

Mike is preceded in death by his grandparents, Perry and Nancy Ellen Taylor, and Pappaw Jack and Mammaw Louell Smith Fenner; and father Douglas Charles Taylor.
