Services for Michael Bartosiak, 64, of Paradise, Texas will be 2:00 pm Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Alvord, officiated by Pastor Michael Feese. Burial will follow in Jonestown Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, also at the church. Michael passed away Thursday, May 9 at home.
Michael was born July 9, 1954 in Marshfield, Wisconsin to Sigman and Dolores (Warrych) Bartosiak. While working for Fellows Manufacturing in Chicago, the company built a plant in Plano, Texas. Always wanting to be a Texan, Michael jumped at the chance to move here.
It was in Plano that he met and married Audrey Pyle. The couple loved each other so much that they married twice, once in December 26, 1994 and then renewed their vows on February 14, 1995. Through their 25 years together they would celebrate both dates each year.
He was somewhat of a health nut and worked out religiously. Even his job dealt with health. He was the health and safety coordinator for Poco Graphite in Decatur, Texas for 18 years.
Michael loved working with his hands. He had a gift for woodworking and working on anything mechanical. When pancreatic cancer no longer allowed him to be active, it was very difficult for him. He was never the type to be idle.
His love for children, his own and others, was a huge part of his life.
He is survived by his wife Audrey of Paradise; sons Bryson Mack and Crystal of Lubbock, Texas, and Bradley Fennell of Marble Falls, Texas; daughters Faith Cipollone and husband of Decatur, and Winter Bartosiak of Paradise; and grandchildren Nova, Nolan, Mila, soon-to-arrive Grayson, and chosen grandchild Blake Cagle; brother Norbert Bartosiak and Rich of Albuquerque, New Mexico; mother-in-law Lynda Cross of Alvord; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
