Mary Pope

A celebration of life for Mary Margaret Pope, 90, of Bridgeport will be held Sunday, November 3, 2013, beginning with a visitation from 1:30-3:00 pm at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, followed by a graveside service at Eternal Oaks Cemetery in Runaway Bay, Texas at 3:30 pm, officiated by James Mason. Mary died Thursday, October 31, 2013 in Bridgeport. The oldest of seven children, Mary was born January 13, 1923 in Haslet, Texas to Jesse and Minnie (Holloway) Halbert. She was a member of the Met Church in Keller, Texas. She is survived by daughter Crystal Dawn Mason and her husband Jerry of Runaway Bay; sisters Billie Shaw, Doris Boatman, Geraldine Johnston and Charlene Solintario; and grandchildren William Mason Hannie III, Marilea Pham, Candice Bentley, Amanda Shook, Keri Armstrong, Richard Armstrong II, and Melanie Theis. Mary was preceded in death by daughter Linda Armstrong Pinkston, and son Richard E. Armstrong.
