MaryAlice Donald, 96, of Bridgeport, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012, in Bridgeport. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AMMonday, June 18, 2012, at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Bill Donald and Don Robinson will officiate.
Marywas born January 4, 1916, in Marion, Louisiana to Celeste (Edwards)and Emmitt Calloway. She received herteaching certificate from Louisiana Tech. She married G. O. Donald in 1936. He died in 2008 after they shared 72 years together. Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing,reading, volunteering, and supporting school activities and athletic events in Farmington, New Mexico, where she lived for fifty years. She was a Southern Baptist who was veryactive in Sunday School and activities of EmmanuelBaptist Churchin Farmington. Her grandchildren all knew her as"Grandma Duck."
Maryis survived by her sons Bill Donald and wife Cindy of Runaway Bay, Texas andJack Donald and wife Sherrie of Graham, Texas; daughters Marilyn Robinson and husband Don ofEnglewood, Colorado and Betty Donald of Prescott, Arizona; twelve grandchildren;and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Sheis preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Charles and BuddyCalloway, and sisters Gertrude Watson and Danzel Cobb.
