Mary Ruth Cash

A celebration of life for Mary Ruth Cash, 83, of Paradise, Texas, will be held at 2 pm Monday, November 13, 2023, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Visitation will be held from 3-5 pm Sunday, November 12, 2023, at the funeral home. Reverend Fred Villa will officiate. Mary peacefully went home to be with her Heavenly Father on November 7, 2023, in Decatur, Texas.

Born on July 15, 1940, in Paradise, Texas, to Jessie T. and Ima Rose (Gilley) Williams, Mary regularly attended Harvest Time Church in Bridgeport and loved teaching and ministering to anyone that would listen. She was a woman of many talents and interests. Mary had a knack for working with her hands and found comfort in quilting and crocheting. Her attention to detail and dedication were evident in every stitch. Additionally, she enjoyed playing the piano and shared her music with others whenever she had the opportunity. Mary will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her spirit will forever remain in their hearts.

Those left to cherish Mary’s memory are her sons Burl Cash and wife Pattie, James Cash and wife Brandy, Charlie Cash and wife Julie; brother Grady Williams and wife Sharon; sister Trula Verner; grandchildren Brian Cash, Shane Cash and wife Amberlee, Hayley Cash, Carmen Williams and husband Cameron, Kala Meyers and husband Ryan, Sera Luman and husband Aaron, Garrett and Caden Cash; great-grandchildren Dominic Berlyn, Logan, Landon, Kemper, Brilee, and Dixie Cash, Ryder and Ronyn Meyers, Asher and Ava Williams; and a host of family and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Alfred and Cleo Williams; sisters Vonciel Cash, Dean Bouchillon, and Vada Skiles; grandsons Kirt and Timothy Cash; and nephews Rodney Williams and Kerry Bouchillon.
