Martha Gail Tillman

Services for Martha Gail Tillman, 63, of Bridgeport, Texas will be 2:00 pm Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, officiated by Brother Daniel Wyckoff. Burial will follow at Willow Point Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, May 29, 2019 also at Jones. Martha passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 in Decatur, Texas.

Martha was born January 27, 1956 in Holbrook, Arizona to JP Hodgson and Emma Ruth (Morgan) Jones. She was a member of the Balsora Baptist Church and the Texas Opry in Weatherford, Texas.

Martha’s passion was her son Jason and growing up she was a mother to many of his friends.  Her hobbies included shopping, listening to country music, and tending to her pets, both domestic and exotic.

Martha is survived by her mother Emma Ruth Jones of Bridgeport; son Jason Jones and wife Mary of Peaster, Texas; brother Glen Jones and wife Debbie of Weatherford, Texas; sisters Phyllis Eiseman of Bridgeport and Paulette Grimes and Terry Cohron of  Garner, Texas; grandchildren Kaycee, Jodi, Kallie, and Olivia Jones of Peaster and a host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father JP Hodgson; Jason’s father Cicero Cohron; her lifelong partner in crime Jimmy Dawson; sister Carol Whitehead, and brother-in-laws Frank Eiseman and Allen Grimes.
