Memorial services for Markus J.R. Eubanks, 66, of Bridgeport, will be at 2:30 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas. Services will be officiated by Jimmy Williams.

Markus J.R. Eubanks passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at his home on December 28, 2022. He was born in Highlands on November 1, 1956, to Elmer and Sammie (Cope) Eubanks. Markus was a loving father and poppy. He was an outdoorsman at heart. Markus loved leasing land and raising cattle. He spent many hours listening to old country music and watching his beloved westerns on television. Like all outdoorsmen, Markus loved spending time in God’s nature, and hunting deer.

Those left to cherish Markus’ memory are his children Crystal Sloan and husband, Matthew, Brandi McKenzie and husband, Scott, and Michelle Eubanks; siblings Jewel Coe, Joyce Myers, and Vickie Wilhoit. Poppy will also be cherished and remembered by his grandchildren, Len and Davee Sloan, and Brooklyn and Hollie McKenzie.

Awaiting Markus’ arrival in Heaven are his parents, Elmer and Sammie Eubanks; and his grandparents.
