Marie Byers

Services for Ione Marie Byers, 68, of Chico, Texas will be 10:00 am Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, officiated by Pastor Kevin Casey. Burial will follow in Chico Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 29 from 6-8 pm, also at Jones. Marie passed away Tuesday, September 26 at home.

Marie was born January 10, 1949 to Percy James Williams II and wife Eva Leona (Caron) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was a homemaker.

She leaves behind her husband of 52 years, George Junior Byers; brother Shelby Williams and wife Trina; grandchildren Jessica Grizzell and husband David, and Josh Martinez and wife Jackie; and four great-grandchildren.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers James Williams III, Wayne Brashier, and Hershell Brashier; sisters Cathy Tarpley, and Jennie Brashier; daughter Leona Martinez; and grandson Jeremy Martinez.
