Maria Espinosa

Services for Maria Espinosa, 78, of Bridgeport, Texas will be 10:00 am Friday, July 23, 2021 at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, officiated by Father Reehan Antony. Burial will follow in Eastside Cemetery in Bridgeport. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday, July 22, also at the funeral home, with Rosary at 7:00 pm. Maria passed away Sunday, July 18 in Decatur.

She was born April 1, 1943 in Agujita, Coahuila, Mexico to Francisco and Teresa (Diaz) Rodriguez.

Maria worked in the cafeteria at Bridgeport Elementary School for many years, until her retirement in 2012.

She dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren.

Maria is survived by husband Alberto Cardenas Espinosa; children Leticia Gutierrez and husband Tony of McKinney, Texas, Alberto Espinosa, Jr. of Bridgeport, Frank Espinosa and wife Lorena of Decatur, Texas, and Gilbert Espinosa of Fort Worth, Texas; brother Jesus Rodriguez of Mexico; grandchildren Isabel, Joseph, Ana, Viviana, and Victoria; and numerous other family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Genovevo Rodriguez.
