Services for Lynn W. ‘Buster’ Taylor, 74, of Chico, Texas will be 11:00 am, Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas. Burial will follow in Chico Cemetery.Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, March 5, also at the funeral home. He passed away Saturday, February 27 in Fort Worth.
Buster was born November 14, 1946 in Jacksboro, Texas to Doyle and Opal (Morrow) Taylor.
As a young adult, he worked at General Dynamics as an aircraft mechanic. The majority of his career was spent with Lehigh-Hanson Aggregate in Chico, where he started out as a welder, and later worked as a heavy equipment operator.
Upon retirement he enjoyed watching and attending rodeos, and was an avid bullriding fan. He knew all the stats, and the family said the TV seldom left the RFD channel, except to watch football. He was a big deer hunter, too.
He had a captivating personality, and it was a good thing he was a charming sort since he liked to talk so much.
He leaves behind daughters Jennifer Wilson, and Amy Morgan and husband Darry, all of Fort Worth, Texas; mother of his children Kathy Smith of Fort Worth; grandchildren Lilly Caroline Wilson, Ava and Grant Morgan; nieces Malissa Seay and husband Dr. Jay Seay of Alabama, Katelynn Rutledge and husband Jimmy of Alabama, and Kendell Seay of Alabama; and nephew Trey Seay of Tennessee.
Buster was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Cherylyn Kay Armstrong.
