Lucille Burrows

Lucille Olene Burrows, 87, of Bowie, Texas, formerly of Decatur, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013, in Bowie. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Oakland Cemetery in Gorman, Texas. Chaplain Doyle Wade will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at White's Funeral Home in Bowie. Lucille was born November 9, 1925 in Gorman, Texas to Ollie Mae (Davenport) and Douglas McClure Gaines. She was a telephone operator for over fifty years who enjoyed crocheting and crafting. She attended the Cowboy Church of Sunset. Lucille is survived by her sons Gary Burrows and wife Donna of Chico, Texas and Steven Burrows of Bowie; daughters Dianne Adams of Haltom City, Texas and Sherry Barfield and husband Dean of Kansas, Oklahoma; sisters Polly Davis of Fort Worth, Texas and Mary Dale Williams and husband Jimmy of San Antonio, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; son David Burrows; granddaughter Amanda Burrows; four brothers; and two sisters.
