Lorene Long

Lorene Long of Chico, Texas, 80, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 in Chico. Services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 22 at the Cates Street Church of Christ in Bridgeport, officiated by Brother Scott Strother. Burial will follow at West Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation will also be at the church, 9:30 am, 30 minutes prior to the service. Lorene was born to Thomas and Nettie (Maynard) Gober in Bridgeport She was a cook, and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She is survived by her daughters Joyce Day of Chico, and Renea Tamplen and husband Tom of Bridgeport; sister Leatrice Denton; and grandchildren Christopher Tamplen, Rebecca Tamplen, David Tamplen, and Timmy Tamplen; and great-grandchild Austin Tamplen. She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, seven siblings, and daughter Maryann Reid.
