Lola Juana Kalbfleisch

Lola Juana Kalbfleisch, 72, of Alvord passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017.

Services for Lola will be Wednesday, June 28 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Burial will follow in Chico Cemetery. Reverend Phillip Weitner will be officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 27 from 6-8 pm also at Jones in Bridgeport. Pallbearers are Pancho Redwine, Darren Sosa, Zack Vidal, Mickey Walker, Manuel Chavez, and Billy Goynes.  

Lola was born on March 13, 1945 in Lemitar, New Mexico to Joe and Beatrice (Chaves) Romero.  She worked at the Chico ISD as a cook.  Lola loved to cook, have a drink, sing and dance. Lola also loved being around people and spending time with her family and grandkids.

Lola is survived by her sons Felix Padilla Jr. and wife Tammi of Lake Bridgeport, Chris Leyva, and wife Tina of Runaway Bay; daughter Geri Wise and husband Gary of Alvord; brother Billy Romero and wife Patricia of Socorro, New Mexico; sister Pauline Chavez-Manuel of Socorro, New Mexico; grandchildren Joshua and Nathan Reed, Angelica and Joe Padilla, Shawnea and Mariah Leyva; great-grandchildren Elisa and Jayden Reed, Camdon Brewer, Joshua Walton, and Elan Viscano; numerous nieces and nephews; and very special friend Jess Luna.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jim Kalbfleisch; son Felix Padilla; brother Lawrence Romero; and her parents.
