Linda Roberds

Funeral services for Linda Roberds, 78, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be 2 pm Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Westside Cemetery, in Bridgeport. Brother Melvin Castleberry will be officiating.

Linda was born November 20, 1944, in Camargo, Oklahoma, to Jesse Jack and Gertrude (Patkowski) Rohrer. She married the love of her life, Ed W. Roberds, August 21, 1965, in Woodward, Oklahoma, and was happily married for forty-one years. Linda worked as a prison guard and laundry supply manager for Wackenhut Corrections for a number of years. She was also a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church in Bridgeport and loved gardening and anything regarding nature.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son Eddy Roberds; brother Donald Rohrer; sisters-in-law Betty Day, Patty Taylor, Kathy Evenson, Joanne Rohrer and Frankie Rohrer; and a host of family and friends.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Jesse Jack and Gertrude Rohrer of Vici, Oklahoma; her husband Ed W. Roberds of Bridgeport, Texas; brother David Rohrer of Sedro-Woolley, Washington; and sisters Laveta Middlestetter of Vici, Oklahoma, Pauline Killian of Lakewood, Colorado, and Martha May French of Oklahoma.
