Graveside services for Letha (Harvick) Tebbetts, 90, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Eastside Cemetery in Bridgeport. Reverend Dr. Nick McRae will officiate. A Celebration of Life will also be held at First United Methodist Church in Decatur on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow.
Letha (Harvick) Tebbetts, retired librarian and cherished figure in her community, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, at the age of 90. Born in Bridgeport on March 15, 1934, to Laster and Arshella (Hitchcock) Harvick, Letha lived a life filled with love, wisdom, and creativity.
Letha married her devoted husband, Raymond Tebbetts, May 3, 1957, and was happily married 68 wonderful years, until her passing. Together, they shared a life filled with adventure, love, laughter, and countless memories.
Letha had a deep passion for reading, which naturally aligned with her career as a librarian. Her love for books inspired many around her to explore the world through literature. In addition to her professional life, she enjoyed quilting, gardening, sewing, and cooking. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her.
Letha is preceded in death by her parents, Laster and Arshella Harvick of Bridgeport; brother, James Harvick of Bridgeport; and brother-in-law, Don Tebbetts of Denton.
Those left to cherish Letha’s memory are her husband, Raymond Tebbetts of Bridgeport; daughters, Anna Mauk and husband Steve of Bridgeport, and Grace Lisenby and husband Tony of Round Rock; brother, William B. Harvick and wife Carol of Arlington; sister-in-law, Jeanne Tebbetts of Denton; and grandchildren, Aerin Mauk of North Carolina, John Mauk of Bridgeport, and Andrew and Ava Lisenby of Round Rock; and a host of friends.
