Funeral services for Leota "Lee" Hodges, 104, of North Richland Hills, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2025, at Legacy Church of Christ in North Richland Hills, with a visitation at 10 a.m., one hour prior to the service, at the church. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Lee was born on November 19, 1920, in Cleveland, Oklahoma, and went to be with her Lord and Savior April 1, 2025, in North Richland Hills, Texas.
Lee graduated from the Oklahoma School of Business in June of 1940. She was a dedicated business woman working in many career fields throughout her lifetime. Lee retired from Monitor Incorporated in Sherman, Texas, at the age of 84. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. Lee was a woman of unwavering belief whose love for the Lord shone through every aspect of her life. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life. Lee shared her faith through kindness, compassion, and an unyielding trust in God's plan. She was a dedicated member of Western Heights Church of Christ while residing in Sherman, Texas, and later became a member of Legacy Church of Christ in North Richland Hills, Texas, until her passing. Lee loved spending time with her beautiful family and friends. She was a charismatic social butterfly, who never met a stranger. Lee had the ability to make everyone around her feel special. She was always one of the last to leave social gatherings, because she wanted to visit with as many people as possible. Lee was a passionate member of the Red Hat Society, Sweet Adelines, and Business & Professional Women’s Club. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
Lee is preceded in death by the love of her life, Keith Thompson; parents, George and Edna Stach; two brothers, Lyman Stach and Vernon Stach; three sisters, Margaret Louise Stach, Geneva McSwane, and Gerry Stach; beloved brothers-in-law, Joe McKissick and Douglas McSwane; and sister-in-law, Minnie Stach.
She is survived by her son, Shane Hodges (Jodi); sister, Mary Lou McKissick; three grandchildren, Jason Leiseth (Kendra), Trae Hodges, and Maci Pond (Jacob); three great-grandchildren, Sloane, Jack, and Troy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
