Funeral services for Larry William Morrow, 71, of Bridgeport, Texas will be Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, officiated by Pastors Bill Hughes and Kevin Casey. A military burial will follow at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, August 23 from 6:00-8:00 pm, also at the funeral home. Larry passed away Friday, August 16 in Decatur, Texas. 

Larry was born December 3, 1947 to Grady Morrow and Neoma (Newton) Morrow in Jacksboro, Texas.  He was married to his wife Judy (Groves) Morrow, for 51 years. He was retired from Peterbilt Motors, Denton Texas, with 25 years.

He served his country in the United States Army, 101st Airborne, as a crew chief on the Cobra Helicopter while in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1969. Fifty years later, Larry was so humbled to be recognized by Senator Pat Fallon and State Representative Phil King for his service to our country, and was presented the Texas Flag that flew over the capital on May 1, 2019, in Larry’s honor.  

Larry loved his family, and loved his God even more.  As a younger man Larry enjoyed time with his children, serving his church in the bus ministry, RA ministry, youth camps, as well as trying to make all of Kayla and Cody’s school and sports events. 

He enjoyed reading his Bible and Louis L’Amour, working in the yard, fishing, and being with his family. He loved his family and his great-grands, Danny and Lucas were his best medicine over the past few months. 

Larry is survived by his wife, Judy (Groves) Morrow; son Cody Morrow, granddaughter Tiphanee Nichols Lackey; grandson Toby Nichols; great-grandsons Danny Lackey, and Lucas Lackey, both of Bridgeport; sisters Jean Fox and husband Henley of Decatur, and Alice Sherrod of Gorman, Texas; brother-in-law Gerald Groves, of Bridgeport; nieces Debra Warbritton and husband Michael of Granbury Texas, Dixie Bryan and husband Randy of Gorman, and Tressa McCormick and husband Brad, of Decatur; nephew Russell Fox and wife Stacy of Alvord, Texas; and a host of relatives and dear friends. 

Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Neoma Collins, and stepfather Guy Collins, his father, Grady Morrow, his daughter and best friend, Kayla Morrow Nichols.

Larry loved the Lord and will be remembered with love and appreciation as a devoted husband, father, and pappy.
