Judy Irene Greer

Judy Greer, 66, beloved mother, sister, wife, and grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on January 18, 2017. Graveside service will be Tuesday, January 24, at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Grove #1 Cemetery in Decatur. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Jones Family Funeral Home in Decatur. She worked in Environmental Services in the Healthcare Industry. Judy loved collecting pictures of her family and doing craft projects. She enjoyed life, loved her family, and left behind a host of friends and family. Judy entered this world on August 1, 1950 in Decatur, TX, born to Dillard Hatley and Dorothy Vess. Judy married Thomas Gene Greer on October 15, 1976, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Julie Christian & husband Kenneth; son Larry McCormick and wife Misty; son, Thomas Greer; sisters, Nancy Hays, Melissa Hays, Anita Hays and Wanda Smith; brothers Joe Hatley and wife Martha, Timmy Hatley, and Jimmy Wilson; grandchildren, Heather Shirley; Kyler Christian and wife Ailyn, Whitney McCormick, Logan McCormick, Reese Montfort, Kaden Monfort, Peyton Monfort, and Heath Giles and wife Crista; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Austin, Preslie, Karter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Linda William Carson; brothers, Alvin Hatley and Buddy Hatley; brothers-in-law Raymond Hays, Thurman Hays, and Bruce Hays.
