Josef Stransky

Services for Josef Stransky, 78, of Decatur, Texas will be 2:30 pm Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, officiated by Father Reehan Antony. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Decatur. Visitation will be 4-6 pm Saturday, August 29, also at the funeral home. Josef passed away Friday, August 21 at home.

Josef was born in Kolin in the Czech Republic on January 18, 1942 to Josef and Anezka Stransky.

He was a very hard worker. He was owner and operator of Bohemia Express Trucking Company in Decatur for more than 30 years.

He loved to travel and enjoyed snow skiing when he wasn’t working. But work was what he knew best.

He leaves behind daughter Eva Moore and husband Troy of Boyd, Texas; son Joseph Stransky of Hollywood, Florida; brother Peter Stransky of Decatur; grandchildren Jennifer Flaggs and husband Jacob of Springtown, Texas, Erica Taite Moore of Arlington, Texas, Miranda Moore of Arlington, Emily Dixie Moore of Boyd; and great-grandchild Jacob Flaggs, Jr.

Josef was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Emilie (Schejbalova) Stransky.
