JoNann 'Memaw' (Gumfory) Harless

Funeral services for JoNann ‘Memaw’ (Gumfory) Harless, 77, of Chico, Texas will be 1:00 pm on Friday, February 21, 2020 at New Hope Fellowship Church in Chico, officiated by Jack McAsey, Lionel Young, and Kenneth Wood. Burial will follow at Chico Cemetery. Pallbearers are Eric McCrory, Nick McCrory, Matt McCrory, Jason Miller, Clayton Miller, Shawn Heath, Mikel Heath, and Hank Bailey. Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Shelton, Justin Shelton, and Jimmy Weis. Jo went to be with the Lord on Tuesday February 18, 2020 in Chico. She was born in Cleburne, Texas on July 31, 1942 to Eugene and Nettie Mae Gumfory. Jo married E.J. Miller on December 31, 1957. They were blessed with five children and were divorced in 1972. She then married David Harless on August of 1974. She was a member of New Hope Fellowship Church of Chico. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jo is survived by her children, sons Timothy Jay Miller and wife Denise, Silas Eugene Miller and wife Misty; daughters Marilyn Harless McCrory and husband Keith, Starr LaNann Heath and husband Stanley, Tema Renee Shelton and husband Rick, and Diana Kay Bailey; brothers Gene Gumfory and David Gumfory; sisters Joyce Owen, Pat Hester, and Kim Ross;16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 43 years, David Harless; and grandson Christopher Wheelis.
