Jimmie Dean Williams

Jimmie Dean Williams, 81, of Greenwood, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at his home.  Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 26, at 10:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery.   Visitation and meal will immediately follow the service at Bono’s in Decatur. Pallbearers will be Michael Wilhelmi, Kirby Stubbs, Austin Stubbs, Cooper Gore, Ronnie Elliott, Colton Cassaday and honorary pallbearer is Jeff Stubbs.

He was the neighborhood handyman who always fixed different projects for his neighborhood children. He dearly loved his family and dogs. Jimmie had a great big heart and he also had a great big temper. He owned his own drywall contracting business for many years. Jimmie dearly loved his wife Linda taking care of her until her death and then he met Dana and successfully joined the two families.

Jimmie was born May 24, 1936 in Whitesboro, OK, to Luther and Hester Williams.  He is survived by wife, Dana Elliott-Williams; sons, Ronnie Elliott; daughters, Laura Williams Stubbs & husband Jeff, Amy Gore, Melissa Williams Wilhelmi & husband Michael, Sarah Stevens & husband David, Shellie Blakely; grandchildren, Kirby Adam Stubbs & family, Austin Lane Stubbs, Bailey Marie Brock & family, Cooper Gore, Colton Cassaday, Corbit Cassaday; beloved couple, Brandon Culbertson & Amy Brison; numerous  family and friends; and beloved dogs Bubba, Dottie, and the rest of the pack.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Linda Kay Howerton; and son Gary Wayne Williams. 

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Solaris Hospice, 2250 FM 51 S Ste 400, Decatur, TX.
