James Cox

James Cox, 85, of Bridgeport, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in Bridgeport. Graveside services are at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 24, 2012 in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Reverend Larry Potts will officiate. James was born December 1, 1926, in Lamesa, Texas to Margaret (Drennon) and James A. Cox. He was a member of the Bridgeport Riding Club. James enjoyed fishing and playing golf. He is survived by his sons Al Cox and wife Brenda and Cary Cox and wife Katrina; daughter Patsy Stinnett and husband Don; brothers Gary Paul Shipley and Pete Cox; grandchildren Curt Anderson, Brian Cox, Tennille Hammonds, Tracie Finstad, Jerald Stinnett, Jimmy Stinnett, Bucky Stinnett, and Kelli Stinnett; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Calvin Shipley, wife Billie Cox, two brothers, and two sisters.
