James "Bud" Brandon

Memorial service for Bud Brandon, 87, of Decatur, Texas, will be held 2 pm Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas.

James “Bud” Brandon left this world on March 25, 2023, in Granbury, Texas.  He was born January 30, 1936, in Lamesa, Texas, to Albert and Edie (Hagin) Brandon. He married the love of his life, Doris (Blanton) Brandon, May 27, 1955, in Lovington, New Mexico. They were happily married for 67 years. Bud was a caring husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He was loved dearly by his family and will be greatly missed. His family would like to best remember him as never meeting a stranger.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Doris Brandon; son Clay Brandon and wife Glenda; daughter Deidra VanNocker; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Bud is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and three sisters.
