Jackie (Jack) Frederick Cooper, 82, of Azle passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 in Bridgeport, Texas. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Ashes will be buried at Cottondale Cemetery.
Jackie was born July 9, 1934 in Wyeville, Wisconsin to Frederick Bryant Cooper and Alice Emma Orvis Cooper. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church of Boyd. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1961. He had worked for Portland Cement before becoming a greeter for Walmart prior to his retirement. He enjoyed attending the dances at the Senior Center in Springtown. He also liked to play golf and bowl.
He is survived by his daughter Jackie Sue Long of Paradise; his brothers Robert (Bob) Cooper and wife Rose, and Donnie Adams; his sister Cathy Fischer and husband Bob, Mary Jane Melvin and husband Ron, and Beverly Mosel and husband Jim all of Madison, Wisconsin: his grandchildren Joseph Long and wife Theresa of Springtown, Texas, Adam Long and wife Heather Clarksville, Tennessee, and Jackie Jackson and husband Olen of Springtown, Texas ; and seven great-grandchildren Aisley, Austin, Madison, Ethan, Micah, Aerial, and Gweneth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janet Melvin and brother Gerald (Jerry) Cooper.
